Robert “Pudgie” Walsh, 82, whose career with the New York Fire Department spanned 40 years, died Sept. 21. He also coached the Brooklyn Mariners football team.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Sept. 26 at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Flatlands.
He is survived by his daughter, Erin Levine; son, John; and sister, Joy Walsh.
