Sister Mary Horgan, R.S.M., a Sister of Mercy for 66 years, died in NY Presbyterian Hospital, Queens, April 19. She was 84.
Formerly known as Sister Mary Dannell, she taught at St. Anastasia School, Douglaston, as well as in schools in Pennsylvania and Iowa.
She is survived by her sister, Sister Ann Horgan, R.S.M., and a cousin, Mary Leone.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated in the Sisters of Mercy Convent, Whitestone. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery, Woodside.
