Sister Rita Cummings, S.C., 102, a Sister of Charity-Halifax, Nova Scotia, for 81 years, died Jan. 6 at Elizabeth Seton Residence, Wellesley Hills, Mass.
Locally, she ministered as a first-grade teacher at Our Lady Help of Christians, Midwood, 1955-57, and as a fifth-grade teacher at St. Barnabas, Bellmore, 1963-70.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at Mount St. Vincent, Wellesley. Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Needham, Mass.
