Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio will celebrate a Memorial Mass in the Chapel of 310 Prospect Park West, Park Slope, for the repose of the soul of Deacon Carlo V. Mellace, on Wednesday, Feb. 11, at noon.
Deacon Mellace, 70, who worked as a compliance auditor for the diocesan Office of Fiscal Management, was ordained to the diaconate on April 20, 1988 and died Monday, Dec. 29, 2014 in Calabria, Italy, where all arrangements took place.
Deacon Mellace served the parishes of St. Dominic, Bensonhurst; and S.S. Simon and Jude, Gravesend.
